On July 19, 2021, Hunan Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Innovation R&D Center was officially established in Lugu Industrial Park of Zoomlion. Luo Xiwen and Zhao Chunjiang, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ji Mingfeng, Director of the Department of Agricultural Mechanization Management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Xu Zhenxing, Deputy Head of the General Station of Agricultural Mechanization, Tang Daoming, full-time Deputy director of the Agriculture Office of Hunan Province and Deputy Party Secretary of The Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of Hunan Province, Zhan Chunxin, Chairman and CEO of Zoomlion, Xiong Yanming, vice president of Zoomlion and chairman and CEO of Zoomlion Agriculture Machinery and other leaders and guests attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Gong Xin, party secretary and director of Hunan Agricultural Machinery Affairs Center. Responsible personnel of relevant units and relevant municipal, county and urban agricultural and rural departments, agricultural machinery experts of colleges and universities, and representatives of agricultural machinery enterprises attended the opening ceremony.

Ji Mingfeng, director of the Agricultural Mechanization Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, pointed out that Hunan province has the conditions and foundation to accelerate the R&D and manufacturing of intelligent agricultural machinery and agricultural machinery equipment in hilly and mountainous areas, and to create a highland for the development of intelligent agricultural machinery industry chain. Since the beginning of this year, Hunan province has made gratifying strides in ensuring the effective supply of grain and other important agricultural products, actively promoting the R&D and manufacturing of agricultural machinery and equipment, strengthening government-enterprise communication, school-enterprise cooperation, and farm-enterprise docking, deepening the integration of agricultural machinery and agronomy, and strengthening and expanding the industrial chain of agricultural mechanization industry group.

According to Tang Daoming, full-time deputy director of agriculture Office of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and deputy secretary of Party Group of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of Hunan Province, R&D center should strengthen the originality, leading technology and technological breakthrough core technology; agricultural machinery enterprises should find out the development direction, establish production positioning, and speed up the transformation of scientific and technological achievements; experts and scholars should give intellectual support, making breakthrough in "their" technical bottlenecks; relevant departments should integrate resources, and take effective measures to support scientific research institution, so as to make full use of the strength of Hunan province to create high-quality intelligent agricultural machinery industry chain, and provide strong support for agricultural machinery development in the new era in Hunan.

Zhan Chunxin, Chairman and CEO of Zoomlion, said in his speech that Zoomlion has always taken agricultural machinery and smart agriculture as an important strategic fulcrum to build a 100-billion-yuan industrial cluster. The establishment of Hunan Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Innovation R&D Center marks another key step for Zoomlion to deepen the layout of intelligent agricultural machinery and accelerate the innovation of agricultural machinery equipment. We will rely on Hunan's industrial advantages in agricultural science and technology,  talents and resources, and make full use of Zoomlion's technological advantages in big data, industrial interconnection, artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing, focus on intelligence, and build the innovation research and development center into the highland of innovation research and application of intelligent agricultural machinery and intelligent agriculture through the deep integration of government, industry, learning, research and application.

During the ceremony, the R&D center held an appointment ceremony for more than ten experts including Luo Xiwen, Zhao Chunjiang and other academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. At the subsequent inaugural meeting of the first Council of Hunan Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Innovation and Research Center, Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. was elected as the chairman of the board, Xiong Yanming, vice president of Zoomlion, chairman and CEO of Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery was elected as the chairman of the board, and Gao Yiping, vice president of Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery was elected as the executive vice chairman of the board.

Hunan Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Innovation R&D Center is led by Zoomlion together with the expert technical team led by academicians, and brings together enterprises, universities, research institutes and other types of innovation subjects and support from provincial units of Hunan, so as to promote the implementation of "three-highland and four-new-mission" strategy.

Xiong Yanming said that the R & D center will rely on the perfect resource sharing system, focusing on solving the "bottleneck" problem that restricts the development of agricultural machinery in Hunan Province, research characteristics of Hunan agricultural mechanization of complete sets of equipment, intelligent agricultural machinery + wisdom agriculture core and key technologies, and carry out comprehensive mechanization production system to demonstrate the application all the way, build multivariate collaborative innovation ecological system, practically shoulder the burden of high intelligent wisdom of agricultural industry chain development in Hunan, and better service agricultural rural modernization in Hunan.
